You don’t have to go to the “big box” tax preparation businesses to get your taxes prepared and e-filed. There are other options besides that and/or preparing them yourself and hoping for the best.

There are small business sole proprietors that prepare tax returns with just as much experience and knowledge if not more than those options. They have to be approved by the IRS and their home state as well as take continuing education courses to keep up with tax law and increase their knowledge every single year.

So you can be very confident in using their services.

This year, because of Covid-19, things will be a little different in preparing our client’s returns. Many are preparing returns virtually, getting papers dropped off and picked up, and a mixture of both to avoid exposure to the virus. Which is a good idea.

You can schedule a free consultation HERE to see if I am a good fit for your situation.

What is virtual tax preparation?

Virtual tax preparation lets you file your return remotely in the comfort of your own home with a tax expert assuring an accurate return. With today’s technology, there is no need to put yourself at risk and be exposed to unwanted germs. This allows everyone to keep safe and still get business done.

If we can take away one thing from these times, it is the fact that we can do many things remotely on our computers over the internet.

How do virtual appointments work?

1. You can set up an appointment HERE for a telephone or video interview (Zoom, Facetime).

2. Fill out the emailed or downloaded Questionnaire & email it back.

3. Drop off tax documents physically or upload them to a secure portal.

4. A call will be placed for your telephone/video interview.

5. Your taxes will then be prepared in a timely manner.

6. Documents will be emailed for e-signing using encrypted e-mail.

7. Payment for preparation fees will be processed (PayPal, Square, or fees can be taken out of your refund for a small fee).

8. Tax Returns will then be electronically sent to the IRS.

9. All documents will then be sent back to you using encrypted e-mail (If local, a pick-up time can be arranged).

10. Wait for the money to roll in.
